Frequently Asked Questions
Can I participate in Executive Roundtables without using The Executive Hub’s business advisory services?
Yes, you can be a member of the roundtable community without using advisory services. For many, though, it allows you to focus and have additional resources to help grow and build your business.
Can I use The Executive Hub's business advisory services without being a member of the Executive Roundtable community?
Yes, you can use business advisory services only, without obligation to be a member of the roundtable community.
Are the Executive Roundtables for business owners only?
Our Executive Roundtables bring together business leaders from diverse industries and across a range of business sizes. Businesses range in size from single-person operations to those with hundreds of millions in turnover.
This is a unique and trusted community that has thrived on the diversity and knowledge that is brought to the table.
What does it mean by “leave your ego at the door”?
With such diversity in the groups and industries at any one roundtable, the groups can only function effectively if people leave their egos at the door.
It is as much about what you can offer others based on the experience and knowledge that you’ve gained already.
Why do the Executive Roundtables only go for 3.5 hours a month?
Spending only half a day with your peers at a roundtable minimises the time you’re away from your business, allowing you to stay in touch with your daily work requirements and team.
You can build in additional time by attending learning events, conferences and other social activities. This will allow you to increase your level of connections.
Are the Executive Roundtables networking events?
The Executive Roundtables are about building your connections and connecting with your peers. They’re not selling environments where people petition for work.
We have a saying that gaining work is a privilege from the groups, but not a right.
Why do you have a buddy system in place?
A buddy system provides you with an experienced roundtable community member who can guide you and help direct you where necessary to help you improve yourself and your business.
Many of our Executive Roundtable members have been involved in the community for more than 5 years, and some for more than 10 years.
Have you got examples of how the Executive Roundtable has helped businesses and their owners?
The Executive Roundtables have significantly impacted many businesses. Some of these examples are:
- Moving from a sole business in South Australia to a national business with more than 12 operating sites
- Achieving significant growth valued at hundreds of millions of dollars
- For some, it means going from being introverted to being comfortable with connecting with a great number of peers
- Gaining knowledge that has helped the business achieve outstanding results in less than half the time it would usually take
- Helped build connections with other sectors, which helps diversify the business’s work
